A few tips for creating tabs
Make a phrase
Click a string and column in a tab to set the cursor. The highlighted line is your working string. Use arrow keys to move, Home/End to jump, and type a fret then Enter to add it. Each fretboard click inserts a note at the cursor. Choose Edit this column to change one string without changing the other notes in that chord. In chord mode, choose one fret on each string you want, then press Add chord. Load shape stages a common chord for you to adjust before adding.
Key and scale controls change the fretboard guide. They do not transpose notes you have already written. Gray notes are still available.
Leave room to breathe
Add a rest for a silent entry: r appears on all six strings. Add a bar line to separate a phrase. Stanza spacing controls the dashes between entries; Next entry length gives an entry 1×, 2×, or 4× that space. These are visual spacing controls, not timed playback.
Recent fret positions fade with each added note, returning to normal after 20 later notes. Chord notes count individually. Rests and bars do not age the highlights. Undo also restores note history.
Keep the whole song
New stanza puts an empty tab at the top. Earlier stanzas stay below; press Continue here to add more to one. Click an entry chip to move the cursor. Backspace removes the previous note on the working string; Delete removes the current note. Other chord notes stay in place. Delete column removes an entire entry. Use Select tab for a native plain-text selection. Undo restores your edits and cursor position. Copy all and Save .txt export stanzas in song order, oldest first.
