Every little minute counts.
Time is a hands-on clock for learning how the hours, minutes and the day fit together. Slide the round tip of either hand. When you let go, the clock reads the time. The short orange hand shows the hours; the long green hand shows the minutes.
Try a smaller step.
Choose 30, 15, 10, 5 or 1-minute steps. Both hands stay linked as you move them. Taking the minute hand past 12 changes the hour; crossing noon or midnight changes AM/PM. Tap AM/PM in the clock center to switch halves of the day.
A whole day in a little landscape.
The sun travels from east on the left to west on the right, rising at 6 AM and setting at 6 PM in this illustrated day. The moon follows across the night sky. Colors and stars change with the selected time. This is a simplified teaching scene, independent of location, season and real moon phases.
Touch, mouse or keyboard.
Grab either round hand tip to slide. You can also use the plus/minus buttons. With a hand focused, use right/up to move forward and left/down to move back. Page Up/Down moves one hour. The digital clock below always shows the same time.
Clear spoken times.
Narration uses bundled recordings generated from ordinary time phrases with the Microsoft Jenny Neural female English voice. No phoneme synthesis is used. Hours, minutes and the time of day are joined for playback. Tap the music note to hear the time again, or turn automatic sound off at the top.
